Testimonials

"In my visit to the Texas Yoga Retreat... I experienced a welcome and an immediate sense of community.  This retreat offers an opportunity for Texas yogins, new and experienced, to connect at a deeper level with each other and to reconnect with Self."
~ Amy Weintraub, Yoga for Depression, California

“Although I did not know other participants at the retreat, soon I felt that wonderful feeling of 'belonging'…. I had the opportunity to learn about different types of yoga, about Trance Dance (I loved it), to meet Robert Boustany, for whom I developed great admiration. He showed us how to use effortless effort while practicing yoga. I also took classes in Yoga Nidra, Qigong, free form yoga, mantra, and more.… We could never go wrong when choosing a class.
~ Sueli Rocha-Rojas, Yoga Teacher

"... the best thing about it is that I am still experiencing some profound peace that I hope stays with me forever."
~ Carla Daws, Participant

"Love the passionate teachers, being with like-minded folks, food, wide variety of topics and styles of yoga."
~ Participant

"The sense of community and being able to do yoga all day and learn what’s not taught in regular classes."

Take a walk to Friday Mountain, read a book, have yummy vegetarian food, sit in the gorgeous and peaceful Temple, visit the peach and flower orchards, commune with peacocks, make new, like-minded friends.

Immerse yourself in a fun, relaxing weekend of yoga and ashram living with yoga enthusiasts from across Texas. Discover a community of like-minded students and teachers who wish to strengthen their connection with one another and share ideas, information and inspiration from all styles and schools of yoga. The Texas Yoga Retreat in 4 minutes!

As with the previous Texas Yoga Retreats, our focus remains on building community. We hope you will see this as an opportunity not only to study with great yoga teachers from a variety of Texas Yoga Retreattraditions, but also as an opportunity to make new connections and friendships, and strengthen and renew old ones.

Yoga Alliance CEU's (continuing education credits) are available for Yoga Teachers who attend the retreat. If you know of other yoga enthusiasts that might resonate with our vision... "to create a strong and caring yoga community, to honor diversity, and to nurture the integrity and principles of yoga" please consider inviting them to join you on this retreat. It is through individual relationships that community is built and as we increase and improve the quality of our individual relationships, we strengthen and improve the quality of the yoga community as a whole.
