She is a passionate 10-year practitioner of Kundalini Yoga who has been happily teaching it for years. She is also a teacher and an advanced shamanic energy apprentice & practitioner with the Toltec Center of Creative Intent in Austin, an author, writer, experiential class & workshop host, and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. Cecilia believes that it is in supporting the wholeness of being that we are able to thrive and shine in the world. Her holistic model of wellness expands traditional models by focusing on bringing all parts of the self into balance: the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic.
Kundalini Yoga Yourself!:
Experience the uniqueness of Kundalini Yoga, often called the “Grandmother” or “Mother” of all yogas, since it is the oldest system from which the others arose. Kundalini yoga is designed as a way to nourish the wholeness of your being – the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic aspects of you.
This 2-hour Kundalini yoga class includes: 1) a 30-minute dharma to introduce basic Kundalini Yoga history and structure; 2) a 75-minute Kundalini Energy/Yoga set with some chanting, breath work, meditation, gentle yet powerful vinyasas, and a 5-10 minute closing relaxation/integration to a crystal bowl; and 3) a 15-minute closing dharma with Q&A. The yoga in this class is considered “low impact” with some modifications offered to “up the ante” for more advanced folks. The intent of the class is to: 1) introduce you to Kundalini Yoga, 2) attune you to your Kundalini energy, 3) magnify your energetic field, and 4) expand your overall sense of wellness and wholeness. You will leave this workshop not only feeling great, but with a packet of information and practices to take home.
Awaken the Rainbow Serpent Within:
In this hour-long class, we will do a low-impact yet energetically powerful Kundalini Yoga set to connect with, clear, open, and nourish the main energy centers of the body. Awakening and unblocking the connective pathway among these energy centers, also called “chakras” and referred to as the “Rainbow Serpent” by some, is one of the foundations of Kundalini Yoga. These centers are located along the central nervous system, which is housed in the length of the spinal column, from your tailbone to the crown of your head. Keeping this energetic pathway along the spinal column and central nervous system clear, flexible, open, and strong allows the Rainbow Serpent Energy to unfurl and rise up the spine like a serpent, supporting the health of your entire being, raising your magnetism, and sparking your highest potential into life.
